Nutori · EKYDNA
Nutori reads photos of product and supplement labels and, based on the profile you choose, points out ingredients you may want to look at. Because the app works with label images and dietary preferences, we keep this policy specific about what we collect, why, and where it goes.
Nutori is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Its ingredient notes are informational and are not a substitute for professional medical advice or for reading the actual product label. Nutori may not identify every ingredient in a photo — always check the actual label, and consult a qualified professional for any allergy, medical condition, or dietary decision.
Nutori is operated by EKYDNA, a sole proprietorship. For any privacy question, data access request, or account deletion request, contact us at support@ekydna.com. We are the party responsible for the personal data described below.
When you scan a product, you take a photo of its label or select an image. That image is used to read the ingredients. The photo is sent for analysis (see below); a small thumbnail and the ingredient text read from it may be saved with your scan history so you can look back at what you scanned. You control camera and photo access in iOS Settings and can change it at any time.
You choose a profile (for example: general, allergy, pregnancy/nursing, infant, diet, digestion). We use it only to decide which ingredients are relevant to flag for you. It is your choice and can be changed any time.
We store the results of your scans — the product guess, the ingredient text read from the label, your chosen profile, and the summary — so your history is available in the app.
When you sign in or subscribe, we process an account identifier (including Sign in with Apple identifiers where applicable) and subscription status. Payments are handled by Apple; we do not receive or store your full payment card details.
We collect a minimal amount of technical information needed to operate the service — for example device type, app version, and error logs — used only to keep the app running and to diagnose problems.
Nutori's servers are located in the United States. If you use Nutori from outside the United States — including from South Korea — your data is transferred to and processed in the United States. We rely on a limited set of service providers to operate the app. Each is described below, with the data involved, the purpose, and the retention period.
| Recipient | Country | Data transferred | Purpose | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Anthropic PBC | United States | The label image and your profile context | AI reading of the label to flag relevant ingredients | Processed per request; not used for model training |
| DigitalOcean, LLC | United States | App data (scan history, thumbnails, extracted text) | Server hosting and storage | Until account deletion, then deleted |
| RevenueCat, Inc. | United States | Subscription and purchase identifiers | Subscription management | Until account deletion, then deleted |
| Apple Inc. | United States | StoreKit purchase tokens, Sign in with Apple identifiers | Payment processing and authentication | Per Apple's privacy policy |
Data is transferred over encrypted connections. When your label image is sent to Anthropic to read, it is used only to generate your result and is not used to train models on your data.
To build shared product coverage, we may keep an anonymized fingerprint of a scanned product and a count of how many times it has been scanned — data that cannot reasonably identify you. This helps recognize common products faster. Where we do this, the data is separated from your identity. If our use of anonymized data changes materially, we will update this policy.
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from Settings in the app, which immediately and permanently removes your personal identifiers and scan history. If you'd rather not use the in-app option, you can also email support@ekydna.com and we will process your request.
You can request to access, correct, or delete your personal data, and you can revoke camera or photo access at any time in iOS Settings. To exercise any of these rights, email support@ekydna.com.
Nutori is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact support@ekydna.com and we will delete it.
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be posted on this page with a revised "last updated" date.
